A Dubai resident has lost his pet parrot in the Satwa area of the emirate and has urged residents to find the dear bird.

Aqib Ali, who resides in Al Hudaiba Building behind Al Maya Supermarket Satwa, contacted Gulf Today seeking help to find the bird.

Aqib said that the bird is called Rico.

He said that residents can identify Rico by a ring on its right leg. The ring has Aqib’s name written on it.

Desperate Aqib is also offering Dhs500 for the bird.

He said that the bird has been with him for over a month, and it is well trained and speaks to and imitates passersby quite well.

Aqib wrote to us on Facebook, “I lost this parrot in the Satwa area… plz if someone finds and returns the bird, I will pay Dhs 500.

Kindly help me.”

An emotional Aqib said that it is not about money… it is my lovely bird… hope it will be back.”

Residents have been urged to help find Rico the parrot as desperate bird lover Aqib is willing to pay for the reward.

Aqib Ali can be reached at 0524052296.
