TRAVEL ALERT – M6 shut between Bedworth and Coventry after serious multiple vehicle crash

THE M6 has been shut between Bedworth and Coventry following a serious crash involving several vehicles.
All emergency services are at the scene to deal with the collision which happened this morning between Junction 3 and Junction 2.
Among them are an air ambulance with the response being led by Warwickshire police.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
National Highways has put the following diversion in place:
Road users are advised to follow the Hollow Square diversion symbol on road signs
Exit at J3 and take the fourth exit from the roundabout on to the A444 towards Coventry.
Head south to the roundabout with the A428 Binley Road.
Keep left on approach to the roundabout to take the dedicated lane to the eastbound A428 Binley Road. Follow the A428 Binley Road eastbound to the junction with the A46.
At the roundabout take the first exit on to the A46 Coventry Eastern Bypass.
Head north on the A46 and keep left (to avoid joining the M69) to reach J2 of the M6.
At the junction roundabout take the fourth exit to re-join the M6 southbound.
