The government of Ishikawa Prefecture has built an accommodation hub at Noto Airport for government officials from across Japan. The container-style facility will house people arriving to help after the Noto Peninsula earthquake.

Around 1,000 officials pour in daily from municipalities nationwide, and securing lodging has been a challenge due to the quake’s impact on local hotels and inns. The new 41-room facility aims to cut travel time, enabling aid workers to swiftly reach hard-hit areas such as Suzu City.

Authorities aim to open a second facility by the end of June to accommodate another 300 people, ensuring support flows seamlessly to those in need.
