The number of Israelis with German ancestry applying for naturalization has risen, according to a report on Monday citing Germany’s Federal Office of Administration.

From January to April this year, 6,869 applications were received, compared to 9,129 for the entire year of 2023 and 5,670 in 2022.

Since August 2021, descendants of those persecuted by the Nazi regime for their political, racial, or religious beliefs are legally entitled to obtain a German passport.

Moreover, the Federal Office indicated that these applications are expected to see a significant increase this year due to the ongoing escalation in the region, as observed in the first four months of this year.

Resistance bombs Tel Aviv, continues to confront IOF in Jabalia

The Palestinian Resistance continued targeting Israeli settlements on the 233rd day of the war, in response to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and continues to carry out complex operations and ambushes in its confrontation with occupation forces penetrating all fronts, leaving Israeli soldiers dead, wounded and captured, and forcing the Israeli occupation forces to retreat.

The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, announced that it bombed Tel Aviv with a large rocket barrage, in response to the massacres against Palestinian civilians.

Following the attack, Israeli media reported that 12 rockets were fired from Rafah towards the Gush Dan settlement in the Tel Aviv region, injuring one person. They also noted a heavy barrage of missiles targeting central Israel from Rafah.
