President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan awarded president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Order of the State, Turkey’s highest state order.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was decorated with the Order of the State, Turkey’s highest state order, by president Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on 6 June, press service of the president of Uzbekistan said.
“It is a great honor for me to receive such a high award of the Republic of Turkey on the day of signing the Declaration on Deepening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between our countries,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
“This award is a symbol of thousands of years of brotherly ties between our peoples, trusting dialog at the highest level, as well as rapidly developing multifaceted bilateral relations,” he added.
This order is conferred to public officials in recognition of their contributions to the enhancement of relations between their countries and the Republic of Turkey.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Ankara on an official visit on 6 June.
In November 2022, Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded Recep Erdogan with the Imam Bukhari Order of the highest degree in Samarkand. This order is given to ulema (scholars of Islam), researchers, writers, as well as heads of states and governments for development of science and enlightenment, study and promotion of the heritage of thinkers of the Islamic world.
