Roberto Marchioni, 57, of Toronto is still missing as of Saturday afternoon, police said as they appealed to the public for help in identifying suspects in what’s believed to be a targeted abduction.

York Regional Police began investigating reports of “suspicious circumstances” after his black Range Rover was found outside a business at 119 Westcreek Drive in Vaughan, Ont., around 6:20 a.m. Friday – roughly four hours after surveillance video shows him leaving work and being assaulted and forced into a grey 2020 Honda CRV LX by two suspects.

A third suspect is also believed to be involved.

The vehicle was last seen taking Langstaff Road to Highway 400 southbound. Police also believe a black Dodge Ram pickup truck was involved in the incident. It’s described as a “fairly new model” and has electronic powered running boards.

“We do not know where he is and are appealing for witnesses and information,” the spokesperson said. At a news conference Saturday afternoon, Inspector Paolo Fiore said police are “very concerned” for his wellbeing, as is his family.
