Pecatonica Farmers Market creeps up on half-way mark

PECTONICA, Ill. (WIFR) – The Pecatonica Farmers Market continues to host local vendors selling their goods.
The market advertises that it’s open every Saturday between Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend, meaning there’s about two months before it ends for the year.
“It’s a nice drive out in the country, and a lot of times there are other activities in the area,” said Mary Holeton, a Pecatonica resident and owner of MK Signs, Upcycles and More.
Holeton says it would be nice to have more veggie vendors at the market. She sells baby onesies, themed towels and recycled art.
“A lot of my stuff is just reclaimed stuff. I try to reclaim, recycle as much as I can, save the planet,” Holeton said.
The farmers market will continue 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday on Main Street and Fourth Street in downtown Pecatonica. For more information, visit the market’s Facebook page. Contact organizers at PecFarmersMarket@gmail.com for more information.
