New horror movie Oddity might well be coming for Longlegs‘ crown as the best horror movie of the year, landing a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Written and directed by Damian McCarthy, the movie sees blind occultist Darcy (Carolyn Bracken) go after those responsible for her twin sister’s death, using inherited haunted items as her tools of revenge.
Ahead of its release, Oddity still has a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 33 reviews. (Longlegs also debuted with 100%, before slipping to 87% from 202 reviews before its release.)

Oddity is released in US cinemas this Friday (July 19) and does not yet have a confirmed UK release date.
However, it is receiving its UK premiere on Friday, August 16 at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
The movie also stars The Great‘s Gwilym Lee, Tadhg Murphy, Caroline Menton, Steve Wall, Jonathan French and Joe Rooney.
Oddity is released in US cinemas on July 19. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
