Kourtney Kardashian Barker just spoke out against the pressure new mums face to “bounce back”, instead celebrating her postpartum body with a stunning bikini pic and some words of wisdom.
The TV star, 44, has been candid with fans about her changing relationship with her body ever since welcoming her fourth child, Rocky Thirteen Barker, in November 2o23.
Just last month, she sent fans wild with a 🔥 photo taken while she was using a breast pump, giving her Instagram followers a glimpse of her parenting life. But her latest post, and the touching message behind it, could just be her most memorable yet.
Sharing her recent vacay snaps to her Instagram grid, then reposting the pics on her Story, Kourtney had a clear message for new mums: “Your body is beautiful at all stages.”
Writing on her Story, she reiterated that the human body is beautiful “during pregnancy as we are glowing and growing” and “postpartum as we are healing and shrinking”, noting this is the period she finds most difficult, “as our bodies are still adjusting”. “If you’re breastfeeding, that’s a whole other part of it,” she added.
Concluding her message, shared alongside photos of herself mid-swim, Kourtney went on to celebrate her postpartum body.
“I try to be kind to myself as my body finds a new normal. The pressure put on us to bounce back when everything is new and different isn’t realistic. Life is beautiful, you are beautiful. Just a little reminder (for me too),” she wrote.
Of course, Kourtney being Kourtney she also used the stunning pic to crack a joke and reference an iconic Keeping Up With The Kardashians moment (when Kim lost a diamond earring in the ocean and Kourtney witheringly responded: “Kim, there’s people that are dying”). Captioning the post on her grid, she quipped: “My diamond earring came off in the ocean and it’s gone.”
