Clarity announces executive leadership team following Agiito acquisition

Clarity, the business travel and events division of the Portman Travel Group, has today announced a new combined executive leadership team following its recent acquisition of Agiito.

The team will be led by Pat McDonagh, CEO, and will combine the previous senior teams from both Agiito and Clarity.

CEO McDonagh said of the new team: “This combined team share my vision and ambition
for the future of the business and I can’t wait to work with them all
to deliver that. Each of them will be backed by outstanding teams of
people alongside some of the most exciting technology in the market.”

Donna Fitzgerald has taken on the role of executive director business travel. Fitzgerald was COO and interim CEO at Agiito, and will be responsible for developing and implementing Clarity’s growth strategy and business development. She will have direct responsibility for the sales and account management functions of the combined businesses. 

Paul Casement is now executive director of meetings and events. Previously account management and events director at Clarity, Casement will focus on growing the meetings and events business.

Sue Chapman has taken on the role of executive director product. Previously commercial director at Clarity, Chapman will be responsible for the delivery of all client-facing technologies alongside implementation and business support. 

Carl Law is the new executive director technology. Previously CTO at Agiito, Law will be responsible for the ongoing development and investment of technologies alongside the day-to-day operations of IT.

Steve Banks has taken on the role of executive director commercial and was previously CCO at Agiito. Banks will be responsible for creating and managing the overall commercial strategy and have direct responsibility for supplier relations and marketing.

Steve Riley is the new executive director, operations. Previously operations director at Clarity, Riley will be responsible for the on and offline travel consultant teams.

Paul Hemingway is the new executive director finance. Previously finance director at Clarity, alongside his role as MD of destination sport, Hemingway will lead the combined finance function as the business develops. 

A spokesperson confirmed with BTN Europe that no-one has left the business as a result of the combined team, but McDonagh commented: “There
will be changes but it’s early days. We have a huge focus on business as usual,
expect to grow the business and ensure the integration effort is
appropriately resourced and supported.”

He added: “It is our absolute priority to ensure we enhance and exceed our combined reputation, delivering rock-solid service and technology to our customers. With this team in place, we couldn’t be better placed to do that.”
