Courrèges is opening a new store in Paris, just in time for all you fashion-forward folk heading to the French fashion (and literal) capital. The store is the Maison’s second Marais boutique, perfect for some post-show spending.
As you’d expect, the store is a den of designer detail, being both a satellite and an evolution of the historic François 1er address. Sitting at the intersection of historical landmarks, queer underground venues, and art venues embody the contrasting identities of Parisian life, including Creative Director Nicolas Di Felice, who is a club kid at heart.
Courrèges’ new store space was designed by Belgian architect Bernard Dubois, who was behind the design of the high-ceilinged space. Dubois worked under the direction of Di Felice in line with his post-modern approach, where arched alcoves work with white flooring, mirrored walls, and club-inspired spotlighting – in keeping with Courrèges’ new identity.
The store extends the structural design tropes of the Parisian House, where asymmetry contributes to the brand’s futuristic avant-gardism. The layout of the Francs-Bourgeois space is articulated around an elongated gallery opening up into rounded corners. Basically, it’s perfect for your Instagram feed.
To kick things off, Courrèges is celebrating the new store to coincide with Men’s Fashion Week for SS25. On June 20, mega fashion photographer Mark Borthwick will sign exclusive prints of outtakes from the SS25 men’s collection and women’s pre-collection shoot for the House to commemorate the occasion.
Courrèges’ new Paris store can be found at 27, rue des Francs-Bourgeois.
