Breaking News Live: PM Modi to hold poll campaigns in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan today –

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to engage with residents of Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir and Barmer in Rajasthan on Friday. Additionally, he will conduct a road show in Dausa, Rajasthan, on the same day.

“In this great festival of democracy, the echo of BJP is being heard all over the country. Today I will get the opportunity to receive the blessings of my family members of Jammu-Kashmir and Rajasthan,” PM Modi said in a post on X.

North Korea’s state media reported that a top Chinese official arrived in Pyongyang for talks aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries. Zhao Leji, the chairman of China’s National People’s Congress and a prominent figure in the ruling Communist Party, arrived in North Korea on Thursday.

His visit marks the highest-level meeting between the two countries in approximately five years. China’s government announced that Zhao will remain in North Korea until Saturday.

Trinamool Congress MLA Hamidur Rehman issued a thinly veiled warning to opposition supporters in the state, implying that if votes don’t swing in his party’s favor, they shouldn’t be surprised if they face repercussions once central forces depart the district post-April 26. ANI quoted Rehman saying, ” The supporters of the BJP, Congress and the CPI(M) are keenly awaiting the polling day in North Dinajpur. However, I wish to tell them that the central forces will only be around till April 26. Thereafter, you will fall back under our force (a veiled reference to the state police). I would urge the supporters of the Opposition parties not to waste their precious votes on the BJP, Congress and CPI(M) candidates. Do remember that the central forces will troop out of this district on April 26. Only our force will hold sway after that. They shouldn’t go complaining then if something were to happen to them (after the polling ends).”
