Two treated for smoke inhalation after fire damages mid-terraced house in Bromley

Four fire engines and 25 firefighters were called to a house fire on Mead Way at 12.53pm this afternoon (Saturday).

Half of the second floor of a three-storey mid-terraced house was damaged by fire.

Two people left the house before firefighters arrived and were treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation.

The fire was extinguished by 2.16pm Crews from Bromley, Beckenham, Addington, and Lee Green fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on Mead Way, BR2 this afternoon.

“Half of the second floor of a three-storey mid-terraced house was damaged by fire.

“Two people left the house before firefighters arrived.

“They were treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation.

“The Brigade was called at 1253 and the fire was extinguished by 1416.

“Crews from Bromley, Beckenham, Addington, and Lee Green fire stations attended the scene.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
