[ad_1]

It just got cheaper to visit the City of Lights by train this summer.

In celebration of the upcoming 2024 Olympic and Paralympic games in Paris, Eurostar announced an increase of train service— between London and Paris — to accommodate the spectators, participants, and travelers, at a discounted price.

Travelers looking to book a ticket can snag a deal of £49 (or $60) for a limited time as Eurostar offers the promotional pricing on tickets, according to a release from the company.

“We are preparing for more than one million passengers to travel with us to the French capital during these exciting and unforgettable events,” Eurostar’s Chief Commercial Officer Francois Le Doze said in a statement  “We have released Eurostar tickets early to provide our customers with the best chance to plan their trip in the greenest way possible to support their Olympic and Paralympic teams, as well as their favourite athletes”

The high-speed Eurostar train route takes 2 hours and 16 minutes from London to Paris. The trains depart from the London St Pancras International terminal and arrives at Paris Gare du Nord station, which is located 2.4 miles north of Louvre Museum.

Travel + Leisure spotted wide availability of the £49 ticket prices even beyond the timing of the Olympics and Paralympics, which may also be helpful for leisure travelers visiting London on a summer 2024 vacation, and seeking to add an additional stop on their itinerary without flying.

The Olympic Games will take place in Paris from July 26, 2024 through Aug. 11, 20224, and the Paralympic Games will follow from Aug. 28, 2024 through Sept. 8, 2024.
