In the next July 12th you could get a new Social Security payment

June 12th will be a very important day for thousands of United States Social Security beneficiaries. On this day, the Administration will pay new retirement checks to a large number of Americans. If we keep this in mind, we may be able to get our benefit, but only if we meet the requirements.

To qualify for the June 12th retirement check, two conditions must be met. On each of the Social Security paydays there are several different requirements, so if we don’t get a check on one day it will always be available on another. In general, these payments are once a month, although there could be some kind of irregularity in the checks.

Be that as it may, June 12th will be a day when these beneficiaries enjoy a benefit. Only group 2 retirees have access to this check. Both Group 1 and Group 3 and 4 retirees get their Social Security payments on a totally different day than June 12th, 2024.

Eligibility for Social Security on June 12th, 2024

When a Social Security retiree starts collecting one of the benefits they always have to keep in mind that the collection day will be the same. The check for the retirement benefit, including Disability, is always mailed on the same date to each retiree. The schedule of payments follows a scheme that may vary, but not much.

Thus, Group 2 retirees are the retirees who get the payment on June 12th. And to obtain this check it is necessary to meet two requirements:

Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of any month.
Have a retirement benefit, disability or any other reason since after May 1997.

Only in this way will we be eligible to obtain this new check. If we are not eligible for the 12th day payment, we can certainly get it on any of the other paydays of the month. On June 3rd, the Social Security Administration sent out the check for pre-May 1997 retirees.

After that, on June 19th and June 26th, the Administration will pay benefits for post-May 1997 beneficiaries who do not collect on June 12th. The exact day for each retiree will depend directly on his or her day of birth.
