Rajnath Singh recalls Rajiv Gandhi’s ‘corruption’ remark

Addressing a public meeting in Kollam, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “Once Rajiv Gandhi said that such a level of corruption in India that if I send 100 paise from centre, only 14 paise reaches the ground and 86 paise goes to corruption. He has expressed his helplessness but hasn’t provided any remedy to it, in independent India, PM Modi is the only Prime Minister who has accepted this challenge. He has established a trinity of Jan Dhan, Aadhar & Mobile, today if 100 paise are sent from Delhi’s bank, 100 paise reaches to your pocket and not a single penny goes into corruption…”

“Be it Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi, they all said that we would eliminate poverty, but it is PM Modi who has uplifted 25 cr people out of poverty,” he added.
